Peptide Supplies Checklist

Everything you need before your first dose. Gather these supplies so you're fully prepared when your peptides arrive.

Your Complete Checklist

Items marked Required are essential for safe peptide use. Optional items are helpful but not strictly necessary to get started.

Solvents

  • Bacteriostatic Water (BAC)Required

30mL vial — the standard solvent for most peptides

  • Acetic Acid (0.6%)Optional

Only for IGF-1 LR3, IGF-1 DES, and MGF — most peptides use BAC water

Syringes & Needles

  • Insulin Syringes (1mL, 29-31G)Required

For subcutaneous injections — the most common type

  • 3mL Syringes + 18G Draw NeedlesRequired

For drawing solvent and reconstituting peptides

  • IM Needles (23-25G, 1-1.5")Optional

    Only needed for intramuscular injections

Safety & Sanitation

  • Alcohol Swabs (70% isopropyl)Required

To sterilize vial tops and injection sites

  • Sharps ContainerRequired

FDA-cleared container for used needles — never use regular trash

  • Nitrile GlovesOptional

Not strictly required but strongly recommended for cleanliness

Storage

  • Mini Fridge or Dedicated Fridge SpaceRequired

Peptides must stay refrigerated at 36–46°F (2–8°C)

  • Dark Storage BoxOptional

    Protects light-sensitive peptides from degradation

Understanding Syringe Sizes

Syringe gauge numbers work backwards — higher numbers mean thinner needles:

  • 18G (draw needle) — thick, used only for drawing solvent from vials. Never inject with this.
  • 23–25G (IM needle) — medium thickness, 1–1.5 inch length for intramuscular injections.
  • 29–31G (insulin syringe) — very thin, short needle for subcutaneous injections. This is what you'll use most often.

Where to Get Supplies

All supplies listed above are available from medical supply stores, online retailers, and pharmacies. BAC water may require a prescription in some regions.

  • Online medical suppliers — often the most convenient and cheapest option
  • Local pharmacies — for syringes and alcohol swabs (availability varies by state/country)
  • Amazon — for sharps containers, gloves, and some supplies

Next: Reconstitute Your Peptide
